About

This page shares a bit about who I am and the story behind Wild Nomad and how it started. It also covers how the site has grown over time, what’s happening behind the scenes, and where things are heading next. You’ll find contact details for anyone with travel questions, upcoming trip plans, or business enquiries, along with a clearer picture of what Wild Nomad is built to offer and the ideas that shape it.

wild nomad

Wild Nomad started as a place for me to share my travel experiences, the things I’ve learned, and the moments that have shaped me. I created it because I love travelling and wanted somewhere to put all the stories, tips, and bits of information I’ve picked up along the way.

Everything on Wild Nomad comes from real experience places I’ve actually visited, routes I’ve taken, and lessons learned on the ground. Nothing here is automated or pulled from generic search results. It’s travel shaped by actually being there.

The guides and itineraries are designed to give travellers clarity and confidence without spending hours researching. You’ll find day‑by‑day breakdowns, transport advice, packing notes, budget expectations, and practical insights that answer the questions people genuinely have: where to go, how long to stay, how to get around, what’s worth seeing, and what you can skip. Everything is organised simply so planning feels easy instead of overwhelming.

ABOUT ME

I’m based in the UK and have loved travelling for as long as I can remember. The whole 9–5 lifestyle never really suited me, so I’ve always found ways to fit travel into my life whenever I can, whether that’s a long trip across the world or a quick escape when I need a change of scenery.

Exploring new places has always felt natural to me. I love the feeling of landing somewhere unfamiliar, figuring things out as I go, and collecting little moments that stay with me long after I’m home.

Wild Nomad is simply a space where I share that part of my life, my experiences, the places that have meant something to me, and the things I’ve learned along the way. Nothing polished or corporate, just me sharing the way I travel and the things I enjoy. I am always exploring new places and adding to the list, so remember to keep a look out for new content.

Wild Nomad continues to grow as more destinations are explored and turned into detailed, easy‑to‑use resources. Each guide is updated over time with new insights, clearer routes, and better recommendations. New content is added regularly, whether it’s a full itinerary, a refined destination breakdown, or practical advice to help travellers make confident decisions. There’s always something new being worked on behind the scenes.

I also hope that, over time, this website can bring in a little extra income. Some of the links you’ll find here are affiliate links or deals I’ve personally found useful. They don’t cost you anything extra, but they help support the site and allow me to keep adding new guides and updates. If you choose to use them, it genuinely means a lot.

Every trip teaches me something new, and having a place to share those moments makes the whole journey feel even more meaningful. Whether someone reads one page or follows along for years, I’m just glad these stories and experiences have somewhere to live.
